No harm

Everything's gone wrong and now you're gone
Pieces don't can't match up cuz they're all gone
My eyes are looking up above the sun
In the skies, where all hope has burnt

Don't tell me that we're the same
Eventually we will change
Things will appear differently
Or we will see them eternally

In the shadows you shine and rise
You blind me and you strike me
I'm not hoping for you to care
You'll live in the past of what you were

I mean no harm to you
I mean no harm to you
It's easier said than done.
It's easier said than done

Just keep my mind from thinking
I could have you again
But then you come in the same
I put you out like a flame

You're the angel leading me in
Lead me, forgive me, surround me
The thought of you shines in the skies
If you were here tonight, it'd be so nice

I mean no harm to you
I mean no harm to you
It's easier said than done.
It's easier said than done

All my life i've tried so hard
Not to let go of what i've found
All i've found is still unknown
I have nothing of my own

In another world we'll exist again
The time i didn't spend, it'd be spent
Don't turn your back on me
Don't hesitate and run to me

Selfies: Why do people do this?

Over the last few years social networks have been experiencing a very odd phenomenom: selfies. This rare but recent trendy activity consist of taking a photo of yourself, either alone or accompanied by other persons. This action has taken over different social networks, but mainly Facebook and Instagram. People nowadays are always trying to capture everyone else's attention by posting these kind of pictures.
No celebrities or public figures have stepped out of this activity: this contemporary action has also been exercised by people such as Mexico's president Enrique Peña Nieto with his early selfie with Mexico's national football team or Barack Obama with his remarked selfie in which apparently his wife appears to be upset by it.
The real question lies on its purpose or purposes. Human's innate need to express themselves might be one of those purposes. We're supposed to be a free country and if so then selfies shoudln't be banned because they do not harm anyone. However, i'm not a follower of this new fad.
Even though people do not affect anyone by doing this, it does contribute to a society full of trivial habits: selfie with myself, selfie during class, selfie in the bathroom. They promote a society in which people prefer to establish a contact with a non human apparatus instead of trying to deal with real world situations.
People are always trying to capture everyone's attention and i think it is something innate but this is not the way to do so. There are different ways to do it: make a video, write an article about something you like, write a poem, but don't take a picture of yourself that has no meaning (mosf of them)
This new trend is trying to pioneer new generations to adopt this bad taste culture activity. Even people who were not raised while this actitivy was engaging everyone are now "going with it" and assuming this, of course i'm referring to adults. Selfies are gaining more and more followers as time flies by which means this will remain (sadly) trendy for maybe decades further. Let's not colaborate to bannal culture.

Drifting

Sometimes i feel like i'm dying
Drifting in the space, with no place to go
It's as if i we're stuck in the same place
You can't say i've never tried

Lost in space, no place to go
Where will it lead us, from here?
Time is running but i stay still
Am i still ill?

Everywhere i go, i see your eyes
When i see you, time does fly
I'm a convict in the prison of your eyes
I swim to the depths of your ocean

Sometimes i feel like i'm dying
Drifting in the space, with no place to go
It's as if i we're stuck in the same place
You can't say i've never tried

Reasons to believe

Lay me down
Don't let it all go by
This is the corner of the story
We've gone too far from glory

Just say you will
Embrace me, my dear grace
Give me reasons to believe
Feed my feelings of relief

I just know that she calms my heart
Creates a joyride with my deepest parts
If you could just stop by my window
So take it: Yours to keep, all my sorrow

Look after me with your gaze
Please raise me in your grace
Eternal moment in the red horizon
Shouting out our names in flames

And we both felt as one
Even if we hadn't planned to
We'd still be gazing in the sky
No time for bittersweet lies

Just say you will
Embrace me, my dear grace
Give me reasons to believe
Feed my feelings of relief

Dawn Misleadings

Meet me in the dawn
Or any day you want
Beneath my bed
A place where we can hide

There's no time for questions
An approval or just tension
Time lies in the core of your pillow
I had to hold it back for sorrow

Broken glass on the corner of your tears
Routine has striked down your dreams
Is there a chance we've missed?
Or just a glimpse of the wounds we couldn't heal?

A relief is what we need
Send away all your joy
To the depths of your void
Embark me in the cruise of your true self

Dawn misleadings
Not leading anywhere

Underneath the tide
You swim the ladder of your pride
Useless and unexamined tide
You've never cared for the fallen pride

The night has wrapped my arms around you
It yearns for a sleep we haven't known
Embrace me, wrap me in your unknown pleasures
Ungrateful night, i've been roaming for a treasure

The dream is still howling for an end
Take me for a ride in the late night
Brighten my darkness with your contentment
Please, don't burn me for resentment

Dawn misleadings
Not leading anywhere

Pablo Honey: miel sobre hojuelas

"I am glued, just in case i crack out" dice Thom Yorke en la última melodia de Pablo Honey.
  • You
  • Creep
  • How Do You?
  • Stop Whispering
  • Thinking About You
  • Anyone Can Play Guitar
  • Ripcord
  • Vegetables
  • Prove Yourself
  • I Can't
  • Lurgee
  • Blow Out
  • Faithless, The Wonder Boy
  • Coke Babies
  • Million Dollar Question
  • Pop Is Dead
  • Banana Co
  • Stupid Car
"Thinking About You" si eres romántico/a esta canción es perfecta.
